Alleged gang member arrested
A third Rome teen has been arrested on charges of participating in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.
According to the arrest warrants:
19-year-old Judakiss Jailek Waddell was a member of a street gang and conspired with other gang members to sell drugs on July 14.
18-year-old Carlos Jamiane Sams Jr. and 18-year-old Christopher Rashon Smith Jr. were arrested last week on felony warrants in the same case.
Warrant: Woman had stolen vehicle
A 21-year-old Silver Creek woman has been jailed on a felony warrant charging her with theft by receiving stolen property.
According to the warrant:
On July 11, Casey Cheyenne Cromer was in possession of a 2018 Nissan Altima that she knew or should have known had been stolen.
The vehicle is valued at $17,000.
Man accused of cashing forged check
A 43-year-old Stone Mountain man was recently booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony 3rd-degree forgery charge.
According to the arrest warrant:
Geoffrey Dion Burke cashed a forged check for $2,439.27 back on March 22 at a bank on North Second Avenue in Rome.
Man charged with meth possession following fight
A homeless man was jailed following a fight with another man on Turner McCall Boulevard Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old David William Silvis was also found with a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine in his pants pocket.
He is charged with affray and possession of meth.
Man charged with criminal trespass, possession of meth
A man who was reportedly caught trespassing on Deerfield Drove is also facing a felony methamphetamine possession charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Levi Cade Stollar of Dallas, Georgia admitted the homeowner had told him not to come back to the property.
Stollar was also found with suspected methamphetamine and less than an ounce of marijuana.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man arrested over the weekend on warrants for failure to appear and a probation violation was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
54-year-old Stephen Lamar Cannon had a small bag of suspected meth and a glass pipe with meth residue while at a location on Cole Street.
Woman arrested for battery, felony obstruction of officers
A Rome woman initially arrested over the weekend for simple battery is also facing a felony obstruction charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
18-year-old Ja’Kia Nekodia Perdue struck a 61-year-old man in the torso in front of officers at a location on Heard Street.
She later kicked the man.
Once at the jail, Perdue made contact with an officer’s face.
