A teenager was arrested on a felony count of cruelty to animals after allegedly shooting and killing a cat and then using the animal for target practice.
According to the arrest warrant for 17-year-old Heath Christian Casey, the incident occurred sometime between January and February of this year at his residence on Youngs Mill Road in Kingston.
Casey is also charged with reckless conduct for discharging a firearm toward the roadway in May of this year.
He is also accused of trying to set up a deal to purchase a controlled substance in May, resulting in additional charges of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, and use of a communications facility to commit a drug crime.
