Woman charged with party to the crime of felony shoplifting
A 54-year-old Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with being a party to the crime of shoplifting.
According to the warrant:
Julie Lynn Gregg was caught on video surveillance working in concert with another person to steal men’s and women’s clothing, paintings, a dinner set, curtains, bed linens, and comforters with a combined value of more than $4,700.
The thefts occurred at a store located at 1818 Redmond Circle on July 7, according to the warrant.
Execution of a search warrant leads to drug arrest
Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on East 15th Street and arrested a 38-year-old Rome man on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Kenneth Lamar Cheeks was found in possession of oxycodone, Lortab, gabapentin, marijuana, THC wax, and a digital scale.
Cheeks is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug-related objects, and two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
Man arrested on drug charges
A 39-year-old Rome man was arrested over the weekend on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Adam Keith Sprayberry was found with methamphetamine packaged for resale and suspected fentanyl at a location on Maple Avenue.
He is charged with possession of meth, possession with the intent to distribute, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
