The contests for the November 7 municipal elections in Rome and Cave Spring are set.
On Friday, Rome City Commissioner Mark Cochran qualified to run for re-election in Ward One. Incumbents Sunday Stevenson and Jim Bojo also qualified, along with businessman Harry Brock and community activist Charles Love.

There are four candidates in Ward Three. They are incumbents Bonny Askew, Bill Collins, and Craig McDaniel, along with local developer Wayne Robinson.

The top three vote-getters in each ward are elected.
In Cave Spring, Incumbent Tom Lindsey qualified for his seat on Post 1 alongside challengers Dennis Shoaf and Jonathan Mills.
For Post 2, incumbent Joyce Mink has qualified along with Nancy Fricks and Michael Baxter
