Two accused of confining woman in home
A 35-year-old Rome woman and a 42-year-old Cedartown man were arrested at a home on Warren Road Wednesday on charges of false imprisonment and obstruction of law enforcement.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Glenda Ann Waller and Douglas Frederick Bray confined a 26-year-old woman in the home.
The two also hid in the attic when police were telling them to come out with their hands up.
Report: Man failed to seek medical care for animal
A 32-year-old Rome man was arrested at his Selman Road home Wednesday on a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Tilquin Jerome Ware failed to seek medical attention for an animal in his care that had a serious disfigurement.
The failure to seek veterinary care caused the animal prolonged pain and suffering.
Convicted felon accused of trying to sell stolen firearm to another convicted felon
A Rome man has been arrested on charges of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
39-year-old Charles Shane Little was in possession of a .22 caliber revolver that he should have known had been stolen.
Little also tried to sell the firearm to another convicted felon in April.
Report: Man damages door during argument
A Rome man was arrested Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with criminal damage to property.
According to the warrant:
31-year-old Steven Corey Key damaged a bedroom door during an argument with a family member on August 26.
Key is also charged with simple battery and a parole violation.
