ReportL Man stole radios from paper mill
A 27-year-old man from Seneca, South Carolina is accused of stealing two Kenwood NX-3300 radios from International Paper on Mays Bridge Road in Coosa in March of this year.
According to an arrest warrant at the Floyd County Jail:
Timothy Austin Morgan was found in South Carolina with the radios, valued at over $2,500.
He is charged with a felony count of theft by taking.
Man charged with false imprisonment, battery
A Rome man is facing charges following a domestic altercation that occurred on West Big Indian Trail on August 30.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
22-year-old Mason Lee Bramlett threw a phone at the victim, striking her in the chest and leaving marks.
The incident occurred in front of a one-year-old child.
The warrant states that Bramlett confined the victim in her vehicle and would not let her get away by pounding on the hood and screaming threats at her.
Bramlett is charged with false imprisonment, battery, and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Warrant: Man had stolen motorcycle
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with theft by receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
According to the warrant:
Victor Dostart was in possession of a stolen Kawasaki motorcycle between March 20 and April 14 of this year.
The motorcycle was valued at approximately $1,600.
Man charged with criminal damage to property
A 40-year-old Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Thursday on a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
According to the arrest warrant:
Carland Eugene Johnson damaged the property of another at a home on Doyle Road back on August 20.
Report: Two caught smoking cocaine in parking deck restroom
Two Rome men are facing charges after they were reportedly caught using drugs in the restroom of a parking deck in downtown Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
61-year-old Kirk Arthur Morgan and 52-year-old Christopher David Krall were smoking cocaine using a glass pipe at the parking deck at 1 Government Plaza.
Both are charged with possession of cocaine and loitering.
