A Lindale woman was arrested at her East Second Avenue home Wednesday on 18 counts of dog fighting.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Brandi Lacha Dobbs was in possession of multiple dogs with the intent to have them fight, along with equipment used to train the dogs.
Floyd County Public Animal Welfare Services Director Katy Walters told the Rome News-Tribune there were a total of 22 dogs taken from the property, 18 of them were fighting dogs and will have to be euthanized.
“These dogs cannot be adopted by anyone. They are trained to kill,” she said.
