Man accused of making threat at the fair
A man from Tampa, Florida was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill another person at the Coosa Valley Fair.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
61-year-old Carl Schindler is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
He was arrested at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Report: Woman swung butcher knife at another woman
A Rome woman was arrested at her Garden Lakes apartment Saturday on charges of aggravated assault and battery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
60-year-old Janet Ladorne Johnson grabbed a butcher knife and began swinging it at the female victim.
Johnson also scratched the victim’s hand and neck.
Man accused of pushing elderly family member down stairs
A 41-year-old Rome man has been arrested on felony charges of aggravated battery and exploitation of the elderly.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Aaron Cole Reeves pushed a 72-year-old family member down the stairs of a home on Freeman Ferry Road on September 30.
The victim sustained a broken hip and has to reside in the hospital until he can go to rehab.
