Two students at Pepperell High School had to be sent to the hospital Monday after another student gave them THC gummies.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Billy Richard Jackson Jr. of Rome brought the gummies onto a school bus and into the school where he gave them to the other two students.
Jackson told officers that he intended to sell the gummies to make money.
He is charged with felony counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance on school grounds, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Jackson is also charged with misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disruption of a public school.
