Woman charged with party to the crime of theft, credit card fraud
A 33-year-old Silver Creek woman is accused of assisting in the theft of a motor vehicle and other items back on July 20.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Brandy Michelle Pope drove a man to a home on The Trail in Lindale, where he stole a 2021 Dodge Ram.
A firearm, numerous tools, and a credit card were also stolen.
The stolen credit card was then used to order a meal at McDonald’s.
Pope is charged with party to the crimes of theft by taking, theft by taking a motor vehicle, and financial transaction card fraud.
She is also charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting for allegedly taking a box of Pop-Tarts from a store on Park Avenue in Lindale on September 15.
Man charged with theft by receiving a stolen firearm
A stolen gun lands an Adairsville man in the Floyd County Jail.
According to an arrest warrant:
On September 23, while at a location on Calhoun Road, 33-year-old Devin Dekwan Reynolds had a .40 caliber handgun that had been reported stolen in Chattanooga in June of 2021.
Reynolds is charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Woman accused of resisting police
A woman accused of shoplifting is also facing two counts of felony obstruction charge after allegedly resisting police officers.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
28-year-old Dora Alicia Quevedo Hernandez of Rome took a clock and a flashlight from the West Rome Walmart. The report states that Hernandez had previously been banned from the store, resulting in an additional charge of criminal trespass.
