A Lindale man was arrested during a traffic stop on North Avenue Monday.
According to a Rome Police Department report:
A vehicle driven by 22-year-old Trenton Darvier Davis was stopped on North Avenue at Calhoun Avenue because its headlights were out.
When asked if he had any weapons, Davis handed over a Glock pistol.
A check of the gun’s serial number revealed that it had been reported as stolen.
Davis told police he had purchased the firearm from another person for $400.
A spent 9mm shell casing was found in the driver’s side door, along with more live ammunition.
Davis is charged with theft by receiving stolen property and improper deadlights.
