Report: Woman hid at Krystal to avoid arrest
A 42-year-old Rome woman has been arrested on felony warrants charging her with financial transaction card fraud and identity theft.
According to the warrants:
In August, Camecka Shunta Snelling took a woman’s financial transaction card from a location at 808 Martha Berry Boulevard.
She then attempted to make a purchase at 200 Broad Street for $11.27 by presenting the stolen card at the front counter.
Snelling is additionally charged with misdemeanor theft by taking, failure to appear, and obstruction of officers.
On Thursday, she allegedly refused to open the door for officers at Krystal on Turner McCall Boulevard and then hid from authorities by locking herself in the office.
Snelling reportedly held the lock from the inside so the key would not work.
Man charged with party to the crime of theft by receiving
A 59-year-old Rome man is facing a felony charge of being a party to the crime of theft by receiving stolen property.
According to the arrest warrant:
Thomas Duane Allen accompanied another person from a home on Magnolia Avenue with a stolen Polaris Ranger XP, bringing it to Angel Road in Cave Spring to sell.
The warrant states that Allen knew the vehicle, valued at more than $1,500, had been stolen.
Man arrested at park on drug charges
A Rockmart man is facing drug charges following his arrest at Heritage Park.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Jacob Allen Hall was being arrested on a valid warrant when Gabapentin and hydrocodone pills were found in his pants.
Hall is charged with possession of Schedule II controlled substances, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man was arrested on Dean Avenue Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
60-year-old Paul Elliott Daniel was found with suspected meth and a glass smoking device with residue.
