A second arrest has been made in a shooting incident on Rising Fawn Trail that occurred back on October 29.
According to an arrest warrant:
31-year-old Antoine Deshaune Peak discharged a firearm toward a person in a vehicle following an argument.
People, including children, were in the area when the gun was fired, putting them in danger.
The victim’s vehicle was struck causing over $500 in damage.
19-year-old Nicholas Brandon Worthy has also been arrested in connection with the incident.
Peak is charged with aggravated assault, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, reckless conduct, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
He is also charged with giving a false name to law enforcement and date of birth to law enforcement on October 10 and again during a traffic stop for a seat belt violation on Thursday of last week.
Peak was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in North Carolina.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Ashlyn Nicole Bryant of Rome was arrested during the same traffic stop and charged with hindering apprehension for providing shelter and transportation for someone she knew was wanted.
