Woman charged with drug possession, tampering with evidence
A Rome woman has been arrested in connection with an incident at the West Rome Walmart back on November 12.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
51-year-old Traci Lynn Sanders shoplifted $23.94 in merchandise and then consumed two different illegal drugs in an attempt to destroy evidence.
She also threw a wallet that contained an illegal drug to disguise physical evidence.
Sanders Is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with evidence, theft by shoplifting, littering, and failure to appear in court.
Man charged with heroin possession
A 33-year-old Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
According to the warrant:
Dayton Chance Carter had heroin at a location on Tower Road in Aragon back on October 10.
Carter is additionally charged with three probation violations and a single count of contempt of superior court.
