One of the applications is seeking a zoning change from community commercial to heavy commercial, as well as a special use permit for a funeral home to provide cremation services at 5865 New Calhoun Highway.
Also Tuesday, the commission is expected to award a bid for the installation of fencing for a Dog Park at Shannon Park to Chavez Fence & Lawncare in the amount of $11,820 using 2017 special purpose, local option sales tax funds.
The commission will also consider a bid of nearly $7 million for runway paving and other work at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport and recognize four area residents as part of African American History Month.
The regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the county administration building on East Fourth Avenue.
The caucus starts at 3:30 p.m. and will feature a presentation from the Georgia’s Rome Film and Entertainment Alliance.
