Report: Man shot into a room with a 6-year-old child inside

A South Rome man is facing multiple charges following his arrest Wednesday on East 16th Street.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

23-year-old Jycorious Kareem Robinson, a purported member of a criminal street gang and a convicted felon fled from police and fired a pistol into a room where a 6-year-old child was.

An arrest warrant for Robinson stated that he conspired with another man to distribute illegal narcotics back in July of 2023.

Robinson is charged with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, participation in a criminal street gang, 1st-degree cruelty to children, reckless conduct, misdemeanor obstruction of officers, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a probation violation, and four counts of failure to appear.

Meanwhile, three other people were arrested during the execution of a search warrant at the same residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

20-year-old Katlyn Nicole Comparan was found in possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, and a THC chocolate bar. She also had a baggie of marijuana in her pocket and a 9mm pistol in her purse.

She is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

37-year-old Camden Xaviers Clowers was found in possession of ecstasy pills and three firearms.

He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Thomas Lamar Collins Jr. is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and participation in a criminal street gang.
