Warrant: Man ran over deputy’s foot

A Rome man is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer after he allegedly ran over a Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy’s foot on April 4.

According to the arrest warrant:

57-year-old Alvin Sylvester Chambers Jr., who was wanted on a felony warrant, was spotted by the deputy at the door of Popeye’s on Turner McCall Boulevard. 

Chambers jumped into his vehicle and drove off, running over the deputy’s foot in the process.

Chambers is also charged with a couple of felony probation violations and contempt of superior court.

Man charged with terroristic threats and acts

A 40-year-old Rome man is facing charges in connection with an incident that occurred back in November.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

Christopher Bryan Shealy threatened to shoot a man in the head.

Shealy also pushed the victim several times and threw water bottles at him, resulting in an additional charge of simple battery.

Man facing identity fraud charges

A 56-year-old Rome man is facing a couple of felony counts of identity fraud.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

David Eugene King used someone else’s identity to fill out an application for a Capitol One card in March of 2022.

He then used the card to make purchases.

Then between August and September of this year, King used someone else’s information on applications for Citi Bank credit cards.

He was issued two cards which he used at several businesses including Score Warriors.
