Rome Police responded to two ‘shots fired’ calls over the weekend.
According to the incident reports:
A blue sedan and a residence in the 300 block of East 15th Street were hit by gunfire at around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Police also discovered an abandoned mini-van that had crashed into a utility pole in the area.
The engine was still running.
A live round of ammunition was found on the floorboard along with shell casings similar to those found at the scene of the shooting.
A little over an hour later, police responded to the area of East Ninth Street and Darlington Way.
Four bullets entered a home on East Ninth and 36 shell casings were found in the street.
