Report: Woman threw blender blade at another woman
A North Rome woman was jailed Monday on a felony aggravated assault charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
27-year-old Brittany Tiana Strickland threw a sharp blade from a blender at another woman at an apartment on Ashland Park Boulevard.
The report states that the blade would have likely caused a serious injury had it struck the victim.
Man charged with sexual exploitation of children
A Shannon man was arrested Sunday on a felony warrant charging him with sexual exploitation of children.
According to the warrant:
20-year-old Troyvius Jiqua Arnold possessed material that depicted a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in June of last year at his Camelia Lane home.
Warrant: Woman signed daughter’s name to traffic citation
A Rome woman arrested in December for identity theft is facing additional charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
43-year-old Carmecka Shunta Snelling used her daughter’s driver’s license during a traffic stop in September of last year on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
She then signed the citation, using her daughter’s name.
Snelling is charged with 2nd-degree forgery, filing false documents, and identity fraud.
Woman accused of having marijuana at prison
A Duluth woman is facing charges after she was reportedly found with marijuana while at the Floyd County Prison on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
27-year-old Melynda Deseree Nelson-Shrout is charged with a felony count of crossing the guard line at the prison with drugs, and a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana.
