The execution of a search warrant at a residence on East 14th Street led to the recovery of a stolen Glock 17.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Eric Christian Byars Jr. of Silver Creek and 17-year-old Gregory Geemar Charles North Jr. of the residence are both charged with felony counts of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a pistol by a person under the age of 18.
Byars has been in jail since late March when he was arrested in connection with the theft of guns and other items from vehicles, primarily in the Lindale area.
