The Rome Alcohol Control Commission will get an update on a recent operation that led to a number of local businesses being cited for gaming machine violations when it meets Monday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Commercial Gambling Unit recently identified violations at 26 local businesses in the City of Rome that operate Coin-Operated Amusement Machines.

Additionally, seven businesses in Floyd County were found to be in violation.

The violations stemmed from improper cash payouts and the businesses were issued citations for violations and machines were subsequently disabled.

Monday’s ACC meeting begins at 5 p.m. at Rome City Hall.

Other agenda items include beer package licenses for Lucky’s Family Mart at 29 East Main Street and Lucky’s One Stop Shop at 610 Calhoun Avenue.

The ACC will also consider a new beer and liquor pouring license request at Diamante Jalisco Mexican Restaurant & Bar at 201 Broad Street, a wine poring license at Honeycream at 4 East Third Avenue, and an extension of the liquor package license approval at Mega Beverage in the former Fazoli’s location on Hicks Drive.
