If you are not registered to vote and would like to cast a ballot in the upcoming special election for Floyd County Commission, Tuesday is the deadline to register.
The election to fill the unexpired term of the late Larry Maxey is on March 18.
The five candidates for Post 4 are Shonna Bailey, Chip Hood, Tonya Eden Shepard, David Thornton, and Corey Townsend.
Early voting for the special election begins on February 24.
If no candidate gets the 50 percent, plus one needed to win outright, a runoff between the top two vote-getters will be on April 15.
