Warrant: Woman broke another woman’s arm
A Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with aggravated battery.
According to the warrant:
32-year-old Shantel Marie Coggins attacked a Cave Spring woman on May 8 at a location on Blacks Bluff Road, breaking the victim’s arm.
Coggins also tried to hinder the police investigation, resulting in a misdemeanor obstruction charge.
Man accused of switching labels at Walmart
A Rome man is facing a felony theft by shoplifting charge.
According to an arrest warrant:
26-year-old Timothy Matthew Bishop Jr. changed the labels on merchandise at the East Rome Walmart so he would pay less for the items.
The warrant states that the total amount of the theft was listed at $623.88.
The incidents occurred between February 7 and March 21 of this year.
Bishop is also being held on a probation violation.
Report: Felon found with two firearms
A Rome man was arrested at his Warren Road home on two felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felony.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
39-year-old Jonathan Christopher Arandus Hight was found with two guns during a probation search.
Hight is also charged with a probation violation.

A Silver Creek man is facing a felony charge after a firearm was found in his Ridgeview Drive home.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
62-year-old Norman Lee Brock is a convicted felon.
He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
