A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a wreck that killed two people on Turner McCall Boulevard in September of last year.
31-year-old Omar Alejandro Garcia entered a guilty plea and was sentenced by Floyd Superior Court Judge Billy Sparks.
Garcia was charged with homicide by vehicle, serious injury by vehicle, DUI, driving without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, and driving too fast for conditions after his Dodge Charger struck a vehicle with three passengers head-on.
Two people in the other vehicle, driver Kadrian Harris and passenger Malik Henderson, were killed, and a one-year-old infant, Riley Harris, was seriously injured.
Just prior to the crash, the Charger was seen on Riverside Parkway traveling at more than 100 miles per hour.
