Five inmates are facing charges following a fight at the Floyd County Prison.
According to the arrest warrants:
23-year-old Latrevious Jacqui Gilbert of Riverdale began fighting with another inmate in the bathroom area of Dorm 3.
About a minute and a half later, 27-year-old Randrick Jemarcus Paulhill of Atlanta and 23-year-old Marquez Talley of Montgomery, Alabama, entered the area and joined Gilbert in the attack on the other inmate.
Paulhill put the victim in a chokehold, and 39-year-old Robert Lee Dismuke of Atlanta started kicking the man.
Dismuke them picked up a metal garbage can, striking the man on the head.
As the fight was calming down, 24-year-old Antonio Danty Williams of Milledgeville stabbed the victim with a homemade weapon, causing a puncture wound to the man’s head.
All five men are charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution and participation in criminal street gang activity.
Paulhill, Talley, and Williams are additionally charged with aggravated assault, with Williams also facing a felony count of possession of items prohibited for inmates.
Gilbert and Talley are additionally charged with battery.
