An Armuchee man was arrested on Thursday at Big Texas Valley Road and Huffaker Road on a methamphetamine trafficking charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
63-year-old Michael Eugene Trammell was found with over an ounce of meth.
There were also two smaller bags of meth packaged for sale and two glass pipes.
Trammell attempted to throw one of the smaller bags of meth and then refused to put his hands behind his back.
He balled up his fists and attempted to hit two police officers as they were putting him into handcuffs.
Trammell’s vehicle was stopped due to a brake light being out, and he was hauling trash without a tarp.
In addition to trafficking, Trammell is also charged with possession of meth, possession with the intent to distribute, two felony counts of obstruction, one misdemeanor count of obstruction, possession of drug-related objects, tampering with evidence, unsecured load, and standards for brake lights and signal devices.
