Man charged with sexual battery
A man arrested in late August for a probation violation is facing an additional felony count of sexual battery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Justin Cory Poole of Rome inappropriately touched a 13-year-old female.
The incident occurred at an apartment on Dugger Drive in June of this year.
The victim was able to force Poole away.
Man accused of delivering contraband for inmate
A man from Gay, Georgia, has been charged with possession of items prohibited for inmates.
According to the arrest warrant:
38-year-old Justin Antonio Dunlap conspired via phone calls to deliver contraband to a trash can near the Riverview Park playground to be retrieved by a Floyd County Prison inmate.
The contraband included a pound of pipe tobacco, ten packs of rolling papers, and five sheets of paper soaked in an unknown substance, also known as “strips.”
The items were found by prison investigators before they could be retrieved.
The incident occurred in June.
