-Staff reports-

Due to the forecasted rain throughout the day, the Unity Point ribbon-cutting ceremony, initially scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 4, at 2:00 PM.
Unity Point is at the confluence of where the Etowah and Oostanaula Rivers form the Coosa River.
Money was included in the 2013 special-purpose, local option sales tax package to rehabilitate the site, which has been the victim of erosion from the flow of the river.
Features include a drop-off spot for kayaks and canoes, new retaining walls, and an ADA-accessible observation platform.
