Around 200 students from K-12 and technical schools from across the region were in Rome on Tuesday to compete in a variety of construction trades.
The Associated General Contractors of Georgia partnered with Duffey Southeast, Inc., and RaLin to host the Northwest Georgia Skills Challenge at the Forum.
Competitions held at the Northwest Georgia Skills Challenge are: Blueprint Reading, Cabinetmaking, Carpentry, Electrical, Masonry, Metal Studs/Drywall, Plumbing, TeamWorks, Welding, and Welding Fabrication.
