The public is invited to come out and show their support for those who served in the United States military on Tuesday morning.
A Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Broad Street.
“The parade will go down Broad Street to Myrtle Hill, in time for our veterans program there,” he said. “They have a Grand Marshal this year—Master Sgt. Bill Sunrich. The Rome Fire Department Honor Guard will be leading the parade, and there will be several high school bands marching in it. It should be a real good parade.”
Veterans who wish to participate and walk in the parade are asked to check in at 9:30 AM at the Synovus Bank parking lot at 701 Broad Street.
There will be 40 units in the parade, representing all branches of the U.S. military.
The annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Myrtle Hill begins at 11 a.m.
Joe Adams will be the keynote speaker.
