Man charged with terroristic threats, aggravated stalking

A West Rome man has been arrested in an incident on Cave Spring Road back on July 20.

According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records

33-year-old Daniel Jacory Matthew Leroy Williams threatened to burn a woman’s vehicle is she tried to leave.

He also took the victim’s car keys and grabbed the woman by her sweatshirt, pulling her down during a verbal argument.

In doing so, Williams violated the terms of a conditional bond by having contact with the woman.

He also fled from the police after being ordered to stop.

Williams is charged with terroristic threats and acts, aggravated stalking, theft by taking, simple battery, misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement, and a probation violation.

Man accused of burglarizing former employer

A Rome man is accused of burglarizing the shop of his former employer on Huffaker Road.

According to an arrest warrant:

60-year-old Clifford Eugene Lindsey Jr. stole several items from Rome Automotive between December 1, 2023, and March 19, 2025.

The stolen goods totaled more than $6,500.

Several of the items were sold at a local pawn shop.

Lindsey is charged with 2nd-degree burglary.

Report: Teen threw juice at school administrator

A West Rome teen is facing a misdemeanor charge following a scuffle involving a school administrator at Rome High School on Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

17-year-old Ja’Myia Kalisa Leath hit the victim with a juice during an altercation.

Leath is charged with a single count of simple assault against a public school system employee.
