Report: Woman found with meth in her bra at jail
A Lyerly woman initially arrested on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge at the West Rome Walmart is facing additional charges.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Elizabeth Marie Gunnells was found with a glass pipe and suspected methamphetamine once at the Floyd County Jail.
The contraband was located inside her bra.
Gunnells is charged with possession of meth, possession of drugs past the guard line at the jail, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug-related objects.
Man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
A Garden Lakes man arrested last week after he was reportedly found with a THC vape pen and clear plastic bags containing suspected methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana is facing an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
During the execution of a search warrant, a firearm was located in the Elliott Drive home of 43-year-old Andrew Steven Silvey
It was then confirmed through the probation office that Silvery is a convicted felon.
Man charged with meth possession
A LaFayette man was recently booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony drug charge.
According to jail records:
60-year-old Jimmy Dale Stinnott was found with methamphetamine at a location on Dean Avenue.
He is charged with possession of meth.
