The Floyd County Commission will hold a couple of called meetings on Monday, both concerning the fiscal year 2026 budget.
A budget workshop will be held at noon in the caucus room, Suite 204 of the county administration building on East Fourth Avenue.
“We have spent a lot of time on the budget these past several weeks,” said Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord. “We went through general fund and all funds, revenues, and expenditures for the proposed budget for 2026. We’re not quite done. We have a third work session on Monday, December 1, as well as plans to adopt on December 9. I will again comment, all of the commissioners have reached out, and we have had individual sessions, and then we’ve had our work sessions during our caucuses during the last several weeks.”
At 2 pm on Monday, a public hearing regarding the budget will be held in the community room.
