The Rome City Commission is expected to approve the fiscal year 2026 budgets at its meeting on Monday.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
Other agenda items include a request to annex 203 Burnett Ferry Road into the city, and special use permits for duplexes on Ross Street, Gordon Avenue, Branham Avenue, Branham Avenue again, and Hardy Avenue.
Rezoning requests for Addington Drive, East 8th Street, and Match Point Way will also go before the commission, along with a request to remove conditions of a previous rezoning on Dodd Boulevard and Highway 411.
A contract for fail-safe gates on Avenue A, requested by the water and sewer department, will also go before the commission, as well as appointments to the Rome Downtown Development Authority, Rome-Floyd County Planning Commission, and the Rome Alcohol Control Commission.
During the caucus, which begins at 5 p.m. in the Sam King Room, the commission will hear a presentation from the DDA regarding the downtown sidewalk ordinance.
