Report: Woman stabbed man in the back…Literally
A Kingston woman is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following a stabbing incident on McClain Road Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Nicole Rose Stansell went into the same room as the victim by kicking in the door.
She then stabbed the man in the back with a kitchen knife.
Stansell is also charged with 1st-degree criminal damage to property.
Another person in the home, 45-year-old Joshua Lee Stansell, was charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property for allegedly putting someone else’s laptop underwater in the kitchen sink and then smashing the screen.
Walmart robbery suspect charged with robbing convenience store
The suspect in the robbery of a financial institution inside the West Rome Walmart has now been officially charged in another robbery minutes before at the North Elm Street Food and Beverage.
According to the arrest warrant:
31-year-old Nicholas Dimetrious Alexander Butts went into the store at 204 North Elm Street at around 1 p.m. and threatened to come back with a gun if the clerk did not give him money.
Butts took an estimated $400 to $500 and six vape cartridges, valued at $60.
Butts was arrested last Wednesday following a pursuit that ended shortly after the Walmart robbery was reported.
Two people wanted in Colorado arrested in Rome
Two Rome residents with active arrest warrants in Colorado were arrested during a traffic stop on West Butler Street at Redmond Circle on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
41-year-old Sebastian TyGhong Walker and 33-year-old Angel Christine Herring are both charged with being fugitives from justice.
A search of their vehicle following a K9 alert turned up THC edibles, resulting in both also being charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
