Report: Man makes threat, destroys television
A 47-year-old Rome man was arrested early Sunday after allegedly threatening to kill a woman on Surrey Trail.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Anthony Curtis Jones also went downstairs and destroyed a 75-inch TV and walkway lights.
He also caused damage to a 2023 Chevy Blazer.
He is charged with terroristic threats and acts, simple assault, and 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.
He is also charged with 3rd-degree cruelty to children because the threat was overheard by a juvenile.
Warrant: Man throws chair at another person, misses and hits television
A 34-year-old Rome man was arrested late last week on a felony warrant charging him with 1st-degree criminal damage to property following an incident on Highland Boulevard.
According to the warrant:
Cody Nicholas Rose threw a chair at another person.
The chair missed the person but struck a television causing more than $500 in damage.
Rose also slapped the victim.
Four children were present in the home at the time of the incident.
Rose was additionally charged with battery and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Man accused of damaging vehicle with a key
A 42-year-old Rome man is accused of keying another person’s vehicle at a location on West Big Indian Trail.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
The damage to the vehicle exceeded $500.
Daniel Mark Gordet is charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property and aggravated stalking.
Cedartown man accused of damaging government housing unit
A 22-year-old Cedartown man was recently booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony count of interference with government property.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Kenneth Bradyn Young damaged the apartment door to a housing authority unit on Reservoir Street on January 4.
Man charged with meth possession
A 42-year-old Garden Lakes man was arrested on Old Rockmart Road and Maple Road last week on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Michael Wayne Terry had a crystal-like substance believed to be meth, a digital scale, and a glass smoking device.
