Warrant: Man strapped relative to an office chair
A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with false imprisonment.
According to the warrant:
33-year-old Jeremiah Ray Douglas detained a female family member in a chair using multiple straps and belts at his Beech Creek Drive residence on December 9.
He also pushed the woman, as she was strapped in the office chair into a mirror, causing injuries to her left arm and foot, resulting in an additional charge of battery.
Man accused of shattering glass door window
A homeless man is facing charges of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, and public drunk following his arrest late last week.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Dustin Steven Lace shattered the glass of a back door to a relative’s home after being told to leave.
Lace was attempting to force his way into the residence.
He admitted to police that he had several “shots” prior to the incident.
