71-year-old man charged with child molestation
A 71-year-old Rome man has been arrested on charges of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Robert Earl Washington took a 15-year-old female to the corner of the stairwells at an apartment building on Chateau Drive and kissed her on the lips.
The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Monday.
Two arrested following altercation
Two North Rome residents are facing charges following a fight on Billy Pyle Road on Monday
According to Floyd County Jail records:
26-year-old Tiarra Adriana Lovie Elaine McClaney and 37-year-old Denise Chevon Cron hit a 52-year-old man, causing two lacerations to the top of his head.
McClaney struck the victim with a metal rod.
She also punched a 38-year- old woman in the face and pulled her hair.
The altercation was witnessed by two juveniles, who were visibly shaken and crying.
Cron is also being held on a probation violation.
Man charged with fentanyl possession, card fraud
A Rome man was arrested after fentanyl was reportedly located in his Hasty Road residence on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
49-year-old Nathan Tyrone Wright also had two bank cards that did not belong to him, and two firearms.
More than an ounce of marijuana, scales, and packaging materials were also recovered.
Wright is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of financial transaction card fraud.
Woman charged with possession of fentanyl with the intent to distribute
An East Rome woman is accused of selling fentanyl.
According to the arrest warrant:
34-year-old Princess Jasmine Williams sold the powerful synthetic opioid to a cooperating witness at a location on Branham Avenue on February 2.
Williams is charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
Man accused of burglarizing neighbor’s apartment
A 53-year-old Rome man was arrested at his Chateau Drive apartment on Monday and charged with 1st-degree burglary, misdemeanor theft by taking, and possession of a Schedule V controlled substance.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Scott Douglas Hudson was seen exiting a neighbor’s apartment and later admitted he had gone into the residence with the intent to steal medication.
He was then found in possession of a controlled substance.
