Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers arrested two men at the K&A Mart on Maple Avenue on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
During the execution of a search warrant, 50-year-old Dwight Devaughn Chambers Sr. and 43-year-old Khuram Ramzanali were found with cocaine and a glass smoking device.
Chambers and Ramzanali are both charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug-related objects.
Chambers, who was found with a shotgun, was caught on video trying to discard the drugs to avoid arrest.
He conspired with others to sell drugs out of the store, which was also captured on video surveillance.
Chambers is additionally charged with attempt or conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and tampering with evidence.
