Warrant: Man sold 40 to 50 stolen wheels to recycling facility
A West Rome man has been jailed on a felony warrant charging him with theft by receiving stolen property.
According to the warrant:
56-year-old Clifford Jay Vaughn III was in possession of 40 to 50 wheels that had been stolen from a Floyd County residence back on May 28.
He took the wheels, valued at more than $1,500, to a recycling facility and sold them for $705.40.
Man charged with battery, aggravated stalking
A North Rome man is accused of striking a woman in the face with a glass bottle, leaving a knot near her right eye and a laceration to her right arm.
According to the arrest warrants:
33-year-old Alfred Jamall Echols Sr. violated a conditional bond by having contact with the victim.
He is charged with felony aggravated stalking and misdemeanor battery.
Echols is also charged with three counts of failure to appear in court.
