Man charged with financial transaction card fraud
A Rome man was arrested at his Parkwood Circle home on Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with financial transaction card fraud.
According to the warrant:
37-year-old Cory Ryan Roberson went to the Shannon Market on May 26 with a Silver Creek woman’s credit card.
He then used it to make purchases without permission.
Man charged in downtown graffiti incidents
A Rome man is facing misdemeanor charges in connection with graffiti that was left in Downtown Rome.
According to the arrest warrants:
43-year-old Bennett Edward Niedrach used a silver marker and wrote on the building pillars and glass at 319 Broad Street on June 12.
He also left graffiti on the city crosswalk signs, electrical light poles, and the control panel.
The damage was listed at under $500.
Niedrach is charged with two counts of criminal trespass with damage to property.
