Man accused of breaking another man’s jaw
A Rome man was arrested Wednesday at his Reynolds Bend Road home on a felony count of aggravated battery.
According to the arrest warrant:
27-year-old Aaron Johnothan Lively picked up a man and slammed him to the ground, causing the victim’s jaw to break on the right side of his face.
The incident occurred on June 17 at a location on East First Street in Rome.
Man charged with false imprisonment, possession of meth
A Shannon man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident at his Todd Street residence on Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
42-year-old John Paul Keene grabbed a woman’s arm, leaving visible marks, and preventing her from going anywhere.
He also prevented the woman from going to the door when police arrived on the property.
During the execution of a search warrant, Keene was found with eight grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, smoking devices, and packaging materials.
He also had an active warrant for his arrest.
Keene is charged with battery, false imprisonment, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and a probation violation.
Man charged with forgery, traffic offenses
A traffic stop on West Third Street resulted in the arrest of a West Rome man on a felony charge of 1st-degree forgery.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 30-year-old Cristobal Anibal Luis-Sanchez was stopped for going 44 miles per hour in the 25 mile per hour work zone on Second Avenue.
He was in possession of a temporary Illinois driver’s license with a fictitious address.
He lives, works, and drives in Georgia, where he is listed as unlicensed.
Sanchez is also charged with speeding in a work zone and driving without a license.
