The Floyd County Commission will consider a request to convert to LED lighting for the Floyd County Police Department when it meets on Tuesday.
The $129,465 is being funded with money from the 2023 special-purpose, local option sales tax, which is included in the 2026 SPLOST budget, and represents a cost savings of $20,537.
The commission will also consider a request for a consumption off-premise license for William Newby for Newby Farm and Vineyard located on Billy Pyle Road.
The commission will consider the appointments of Sundai Stevenson to the Floyd County Development Authority, and Robert Owens to the DFCS Board.
A request from Parks and Recreation to approve a temporary premises usage license agreement with Atlanta’s Event Specialists for ice skating at Ridge Ferry Park is on the consent agenda for the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Floyd County Administration Building on Fourth Avenue.
The pre-meeting caucus starts at 4 p.m.
