Woman charged with meth possession
A Pisgah, Alabama woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor warrant for possession of drug-related objects.
According to the warrants
On July 24, 2025, during a roadside safety check on Highway 27, it was discovered that 26-year-old Destiny Dawn Dawson had a warrant for her arrest in Dade County.
A clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine was discovered in the vehicle between the driver’s seat and passenger seat.
Syringes with residue, possibly heroin or fentanyl, were also located in the floorboard in multiple bags.
Dawson admitted that she and the driver had bought the drugs and that she had swallowed some of the meth to conceal it from law enforcement.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Woman charged with exploitation of the elderly, theft
A 42-year-old East Rome woman is accused of stealing from an 88-year-old man.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Donisha Nicole Watkins Collier took $546 from the victim on July 25.
The money was meant to purchase food.
Watkins is charged with theft by taking and exploitation of the elderly.
