The Northwest Georgia Charter Academy cut the ribbon on their new campus Friday Morning and celebrated the newly founded school.
The new tuition-free, open enrollment academy has started its journey by hosting grades K-5 with the intention to add a grade to the academy every subsequent year. The ribbon cutting was followed by an open house. Attendees were encouraged to look throughout the halls and classrooms of the school. All of which were decorated and ready for the coming school year.
Northwest Georgia Charter Academy board member Judy Taylor spoke at the event, excited for the coming school year:
“We’re blessed. Truly blessed to be on this beautiful 480 acre campus. It’s lovely isn’t it? This campus was founded in 1846; so there’s a long history of public education in this community. And today we continue that public education with the GSD campus and the students they serve and now with our school and the students we will serve.”
