Man Strikes Woman Holding Baby
A Northwest Rome man was arrested on Sunday for striking a woman that was holding a baby.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
21 year old John Conell Allmon was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, August 2nd for cornering a woman who was holding an eight-month-old baby and grabbing her before striking her on the side of the head.
Allmon has been charged with battery, assault, and cruelty to children.
Woman Arrested for Strangling Her Spouse
A woman was arrested for strangling her spouse on Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
Chante Meshawn Merrill was arrested early Saturday morning for using an object to strangle her spouse.
Merill has been charged with aggravated assault.
Man Bites Woman Before Smashing Her Phone and Denting Her Car
A man was arrested on McHenry Drive in Rome on Friday evening for biting, smashing a cellphone, and denting the exterior of a car.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
Marcus Tyrell Creamer was arrested for biting a woman on the hand. After which he grabbed her phone and smashed it on the ground. After that he put multiple dents in the woman’s car.
Creamer has been charged with all misdemeanor charges of battery, damage to property, and obstructing person making an emergency call. The offense occurred on Friday, August 31st.
