The Rome-Floyd County Development Authority has chosen its officers for 2027.
Jimmy Byars was re-elected as chair, and Lowery May was re-elected as vice-chair.
Evie McNiece was selected as secretary/treasurer, replacing Doc Kibler.
In other action during this week’s development authority meeting, the board got an update on potential industrial prospects.
According to Mary Grace Selman, interest in Rome and Floyd County has increased since last month.
There has been one on-site visit, three project calls via Teams, 14 inquiries, and one meeting with an existing industry.
