Man charged with aggravated animal cruelty
A Cedartown man is accused of neglecting an animal at his Reeceberg Road residence.
According to an arrest warrant:
38-year-old Terry Lee Brown subjected a dog named “Relay” to prolonged physical pain.
The dog was severely emaciated, suffered from muscle atrophy, and was unable to stand.
“Relay” also had a severe flea infestation and maggots, along with severe skin tinting, which is consistent with dehydration.
Brown is charged with a felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.
Man accused of throwing a disabled person against a door
A Rome man has been arrested on charges of battery and intimidation of a disabled person.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
66-year-old Ricky George King threw a disabled 63-year-old female against a door at his North Fifth Avenue residence.
The victim sustained bruises to her arms.
