Two charged with theft by receiving a stolen motor vehicle
Two West Rome men have been arrested on felony warrants charging them with theft by receiving stolen property.
According to the warrants:
21-year-old Maynor Alberto Lopez-Xiloj and 17-year-old Dennis Pedro Lopez-Xiloj were passengers in a 2013 Toyota Scion that had been reported stolen by a Calhoun woman back on August 30.
The vehicle was valued at $11,000.
Maynor Alberto Lopez-Xiloj is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime after he was found with two firearms in his waistband.
19-year-old Christopher Paxtor Perez, who was driving, was arrested last week.
He reportedly crashed the stolen vehicle into a utility pole at a motel on Dean Avenue while trying to elude police.
Woman charged with terroristic threats and acts
A North Rome woman initially charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while unlicensed is accused of threatening the life of a deputy.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
36-year-old Jameka Levine Wade told the deputy, “If you touch me, I will kill you.”
She is charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.
Woman charged with meth possession
A traffic stop ends in a drug arrest on Shorter Avenue at Kirton Street.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 43-year-old Kandi Lynn Keener was stopped for failure to maintain a lane.
Keener admitted to having a pipe containing methamphetamine and admitted to smoking meth a few hours before the traffic stop.
During a search of the vehicle, the pipe and a baggie containing suspected meth were located.
Keener is charged with possession of meth, DUI and failure to maintain a lane.
Woman accused of neglecting a disabled person
A 59-year-old Silver Creek woman has been arrested on a felony count of neglect of a disabled adult.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Christi Garrard Tribble failed to properly clean the victim after he had fallen.
She also refused to place her hands behind her back during her arrest, resulting in a misdemeanor count of obstruction of law enforcement.
Man accused of entering vehicles in Silver Creek
A man accused of entering a vehicle on Longwood Court in Silver Creek on August 29 and stealing a handgun had been charged with stealing items from two other vehicles.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
25-year-old Dale Jackson Early Jr. took purses from vehicles at two separate addresses on Ridgefield Drive.
He is charged with two additional counts of entering an automobile and two counts of theft by taking.
Report: Man stole wallet
A homeless man is accused of stealing a wallet.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
66-year-old Thomas David Burnette took the wallet off the counter at a motel on Martha Berry Boulevard.
It contained $600 in cash, ID cards, and financial transaction cards.
Suspected methamphetamine was located among Burnette’s belongings, which he wanted to take with him to the jail at the time of his arrest.
He is charged with theft by taking and possession of methamphetamine.
Man charged with meth possession
A North Rome man was arrested on drug charges at a location on North Avenue at Calhoun Avenue on Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
51-year-old Jeremy Daniel Green was found with suspected methamphetamine during a probable cause search of his vehicle.
He is charged with possession of meth.
