Floyd County Commission to consider stadium contract on Tuesday

The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will hold its first regular meeting of the month on Tuesday night.

Agenda items include a Single Season Use Agreement for AdventHealth Stadium with Diamond Baseball Holdings, LLC., owner of the Rome Emperors.

The commission will also consider the approval of a contract with Brooks Construction for the Law Enforcement Center Phase 1 construction.

This requires a budget increase of $231,380 in the 2017 special-purpose, local option sales tax account.

Commissioners will consider a resolution to close a portion of Sunset Drive.

Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the County Administration Building, located at 12 East 4th Avenue, Rome.

Caucus will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by the Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
